Okay... two more.

She is such(!!) an adorable baby. I loved holding her and feeling free to really love my heart out for her. It was so much fun to have Sarah home for the 10 days. We had some good bonding but we bond just as well over the phone. I guess it is better to be able to hug eachother (although she's getting too skinny to hug properly). It was a really good 2 weekends with lots of family time. And it's not over. This weekend Alisha, Frank and baby Gavin are coming over! Isn't that great!? I get to meet Gavin for the first time. I hope we get lots of pictures of him with us holding him. We all need to remember and look at those pictures. The only crappy thing is that Larissa will be in the hospital for the whole visit. She has some sort of text book pregnancy related problem where a vein in her leg has a clot in it. Her leg turns blue everytime she stands on it and so she is in the hospital laying down and will be like that for at least another week. The poor girl is going crazy. I think that I could manage it since I love to be lounging around with books but for Larissa, who is far more active than I am, this is driving her crazy. She's getting moved into a private room soon, which is good since her visitors tend to be loud and then at least she's got her own bathroom (she says that maternity ward bathrooms are disgusting... ?) I truly hope she gets out soon. I was thinking of taking her animals (or at least the dog) for a while since James has been spending only minutes at home and that poor dog is trapped inside for way too long. I just have to convince Dan. Kia (the dog) is a really high energy dog but that's because she's less than a year old still. I bought some dog treats and maybe we'll see if we can train her a bit too (at least to "come" when we say).

Well, that's it for now. Enjoy the pics. I hope I have more to say next time! (hint hint?)

Two pictures

I'm at Hilo for the weekend because baby Grace is getting baptized. Sarah is home for her reading break and it feels like the whole family is finally all here and hanging out together. (We're still missing Sarah's b/f Peter). Since we are all here we decided to have a shower for Amy and Grace. Oh man!!! Shower's bring in so much stuff! I loved it. There are some pretty cute baby clothes here. These onsies are from my cousin who knows the funky shops:

If you can't read them, they say: ipood, homemade, you can't see me, and i might barf. Isn't that hilarious?!

This next picture is now my most favorite picture in the world. I love that you can't actually see her face... and she doesn't look as grumpy as she actually was. I love that kid!

My sister's coming home

I'm in Ingersoll on another weekend off of work! The good part of having less hours available at work is that I'm getting a lot of weekends off! I love it. Less work but more time with family and friends. Sarah is coming home! She didn't come home for Christmas so I'm really looking forward to the visit. Of course life will go on for the rest of us during the 10 days that she's here but I'm going to do as much as I can to hang out with her. I hitched a ride to Hilo last night so that I could be here when she gets here this evening. It looks like this weekend is all booked up already and we're going to have lots of good bonding with the family. I bet even Amy, Joel and baby Grace are going to be around a lot. Oh... baby Grace. Because I wanted to see her so much mom and I took a spur-of-the-moment trip to their place last night. It's not always a good idea to drop by unannounced at someone's place on Valentine's Day but we figured we were just going to go for a second. It turns out she had the Gems over for a quilting thing and we were able to quickly snag Grace away from some kids arms and take her away for ourselves. The girls left shortly and I got to sit and rock Grace while we had a quick chat. By the time Joel came home (he gets home late!!) Grace was ready to eat and Amy was ready to put together their Valentines supper of crab legs! How romantic. Amy is baby sitting at a friends today so I'm hoping to go there this afternoon again. And then.... SARAH'S HOME!! And we'll go to see the babe again! I can't get enough of this bonding. Unfortunately Sarah is sicker than a dog right now. She's been cramming her studies and working like crazy and not getting any sleep so I think the first little bit of her visit will probably be sleeping a lot.
Well, I'm off for now. You'll probably see more of me in a month or so (the way I've been writing lately). Ta ta!!
